WHAT WE DO
The Mesa Verde Foundation was founded in 2002 to provide technology and enrichment programs for our students. Since then, the Foundation has funded hundreds of new computers; art, music and drama programs; equipment for our science labs; document cameras for classrooms; the running track and other PE equipment; and much, much more. Over the last four years, the Foundation raised approximately $50,000 to $100,000 per year to fund technology improvements, provide supplies, and support programs that directly benefit our students.
WHAT WE FUND
Over the past few years, thanks to the parent community’s generous donations, the Foundation has been able to fund:
-
New technology, including Chromebooks and Chromebook carts, document cameras, interactive whiteboards, and wireless printers
-
Classroom grants for every teacher
-
Art supplies
-
Books for the library and for classrooms
-
Music and drama programs, science clubs, and other enrichment programs
WHY WE NEED YOU
California public schools are among the lowest funded in the country, ranked 41st out of 50 states in per-pupil funding. Furthermore, Poway Unified, a nationally recognized school district with award winning students and staff, is one of the lowest funded districts in all of San Diego County. When we join together as a parent community and combine our individual donations, we can create lasting and important changes to our students’ educational experiences during the critical middle school period. A public school education is free, but an enriched education is not; join us today in making a commitment to our students so that they can excel in our school and in our community. Help our Eagles soar!
